Tories fall. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Cllr Dix accuses Ian Duncan Smith, the Tory MP, of telling lies about the results that the cap on benefits will have. Can this really be the same Cllr Dix who promised to bring a Morrisons store and 300 jobs to Blackwood if Labour took control of Caerphilly council?

A promise he knew he could not fulfil as he was fully aware that Morrisons had never submitted any application to locate to the site and Morrisons have since confirmed that it was not on their radar to open a store in Blackwood.

When Cllr Dix and his Labour cronies peddled their propaganda prior to the last election they didn’t give a damn about telling the whole truth to residents of Blackwood and the surrounding areas. So it really is a bit rich for him to point the finger at Tory ministers who have misled the public in the very same way that he and his Labour comrades did prior to the council elections.

He would serve his constituents better if he concentrated on holding his own discredited Labour cabinet on Caerphilly council to account and scrutiny and let his own invisible MP scrutinise the Tory government in London.
