SO THE important improvement work to the Newport Indoor Market (Argus 27.6.13) has been further delayed to 12 months in total so far due to “the discovery of more asbestos and the poor condition of floorboards” according to the Council.
Didn’t a survey take place before the work started?
I am sure that Labour Councillor D. Harvey would agree that Newport City Labour Council is to blame for this further mess, as I recall her blaming the Conservatives and Lib Dems when the Coalition was in power-because “they were responsible for the poor state of Newport”.
Where are the Newport Labour Disciples, with all the “moaners” now (their favourite bully-boy language) appearing repeatedly in the Argus? Perhaps the Council’s anonymous spokesman and spokeswoman have taken over the role of informing Newport Citizens instead of the usual Newport Labour mockers.
Will Newport City Labour Council turn to the Welsh Assembly Government for more help for the Indoor Market?
