WITH regard to the plan to relieve the congestion on the M4. I can’t help thinking that if they divert the traffic off the motorway at say, Magor, that traffic has to rejoin somewhere, thus moving the bottleneck from one place to another.
Why don’t they just do away with the tunnels and cut a great swathe through the mountain, with a bridge across the top and re-jig the motorway lane linage etc. I haven’t looked into this idea, in depth, but feel that it’s worth a feasibility study,
