REGARDING the story about the late Johnny Basham and his tombstone.
My mother the late Rene Selwood regularly put flowers on his grave and was upset that he didn’t have a proper stone on his grave.
She contacted Dick Richardson in London (he was from Maesglas) and told him about it. He contacted some of his friends, one of them was Henry Cooper and they got together to organise some kind of charity event and had the stone put on.
