CONGRATULATIONS to Newport City Council and staff for providing excellent free sport and play activities during the school summer holidays. My grandchildren enjoyed a wide variety of free activities at the International Village, swimming-pool, water polo, snorkelling, diving, swim development and tennis (a small charge).
With a little planning they were able to take part in an activity most days. They certainly achieved their 60 minutes’ daily exercise and helped to develop healthy minds and bodies.
They also attended the free play scheme at the Beaufort Centre, St Julian’s, and even watched a film at the Riverfront for 50 pence! Well done, Newport City Council!
