PUT ARMED troops on the ground and in harm’s way or not? It tears the heart apart or do nothing? We have been here before.

I was reminded of an old man when he told a story.

There was a family in an apartment in the dead of night, there was the sound of lorries in the street and a banging on the locked main door of the block. The man of the house said stay here, my door is locked, they are safe. They came, kicked in the doors of the apartment below in the morning. There was nothing left of the people who lived there.

Two days later, about the same time, they were back. This time they went to the door above. His wife said do something, he is very ill. No, nothing to do with us. Following night they were back. He did nothing, he felt sorry. He said to his wife now we might get some peace around here. That night they came for him. Germany, Rwanda, Kosovo, Halabja.

Politicians, many have fallen, I don’t have to mention. Now, it’s your call. Call me Dave, remember? You will be damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Where is Tony when you need advice?
