THE FEARS of some of your contributors about privatisation of the NHS are misplaced and politicised.
About ten years ago at the behest of Mr Blair’s Labour Assembly, I was invited to attend a local private hospital for an operation that probably cost £10,000. When I returned home did I write to the papers about the ‘privatisation’ of the NHS? I most certainly did not!
The bottom line, Pauline Charlesworth of Nantyglo, is whether I am treated to my satisfaction, and the Welsh NHS under Labour is struggling to do just that.
