The stranglehold of ‘Red’ Len McCluskey’s Union ‘Unite’ over Labour has now been revealed! Over 60 per cent of Labour MPs elected to the commons were sponsored by this hard left union. How does this affect democracy? Well, the adage of ‘he who pays the piper, calls the tune’ is certainly ringing true. I say this because the sudden withdrawal of Chukka Umunna might have been because he realised that without the backing of ‘Red’ Len, he didn’t stand a chance. It was McCluskey who declared ‘I run the Labour Party’, and it seems he does. One such MP now encourages militants to break the law with wildcat strikes. Another praises Hugo Chavez, the former hard line President of Venezuela. Ukip’s vote of 7,203 put us third in Torfaen; this along with the EU vote was a good result. We look forward to 2016 and the Welsh Assembly Elections.
