I WELCOME Newport Council’s incoming leader Debbie Wilcox’s statement about democracy in Newport. To demonstrate this she should immediately scrap the restrictions on councillors asking open questions of cabinet members at meetings.
This can be undertaken very quickly and would show a break with the past.
