Regarding the Seven bridge Tolls reduction when it comes back into public ownership.
Various MPs state they have been fighting for this over many years, the question is: how come no political party has not done this before, or got rid of it altogether.
They will state, a private deal was done with the builders to recover their cost, and make a profit.
Nothing wrong in that you might say, but now the ball is firmly in the government court.
They could quite easily scrap the tolls all together, woe they might say, what about care and repair.
How many motorists know exactly how much the government takes from the motorist, and how much is spent on roads and infrastructures out of these funds.
I have asked my local MP Jessica Morden to get the latest figures to answer this question.
If the figures work out as they did many years ago, only about a third of income taken from the motorist was actually spent on the roads and infrastructures.
Question to MPs why do we build motorways and bridges? answers on a matchbox to Parliament.
