I AGREE with the Argus comment that “Scrapping right to buy will only solve one part of the (housing) problem. What is needed is a firm commitment to building social housing across Wales to deal with the current high demand” (Argus, 15 March).
Labour is making just that commitment for Caerphilly county borough in its manifesto for the forthcoming council elections. If re-elected to leadership of Caerphilly Council in May, Labour will in the next council term introduce a social housebuilding programme in our county borough.
Another good reason for Caerphilly county residents to vote Labour on 4th May.
