THE PAGE 2 article by Ian Craig in Friday’s Argus made me laugh.
The police claim that by decriminalising illegal parking it will free up police officers for other duties.
This statement implies they have officers enforcing parking restrictions now.
Friday two police officers walked past me on Lower Dock Street, there were a whole row of vehicles parked on double yellow lines, on Skinner Street cars were parked on the pavement and several cars parked in disabled bays not displaying blue badges.
They didn’t miss a step walking past all the offending vehicles.
They are not enforcing the restrictions now so where are the officers working now that will be released for these other duties?
