I DON’T possess to be a bridge builder and I’m not for or against the new relief road. But I hope the bridge builder has taken into account the problem they have with wind and high sided vehicles on the Second River Crossing.
With them making this bridge over Newport Dock, 27 feet higher than the Severn Bridge Crossing, high sided vehicles could be exposed to a stronger wind current, and must take into account there will be people working in the vicinity below.
There must be protection from loose parts, dislodging from vehicles in a strong wind.
