IT ISN’T often that a news article makes me sick to my stomach but the description of the torture and crucifixion of an innocent and endangered hedgehog had just that effect (South Wales Argus, April 19).
The treatment of an animal in such a barbaric and calculated manner is typically symptomatic of a specific form of mental and social disorder.
The inhabitants of Pontllanfraith need to be aware that an embryonic psychopath may be practising amongst them.
It is a well recognised step up for such deviants to move from animals to humans.
While not wishing to be unduly alarmist, perhaps it would not be inappropriate to suggest a modicum of caution atleast for the time being.
