ACCORDING to M Reynolds (‘Questions on organ donations’ 30.03.12) Harefield have a large number of ethnic minorities there privately for patients.
As stated in my previous letter (March 9) transplantation is not available privately unless an organ is unsuitable for all relevant NHS patients on the transplant list, the ethnicity of patients being an irrelevant factor.
Can I urge M Reynolds to contact me directly so I can reassure him of the situation?
