TO ALL the people that took the time to vote on May 3: you have made your choices, now let’s see those choices perform to the level that we all expect them to do so, let’s see if they can make all the promises they made come true, let’s hope that they will have the will and expertise to make the difference you all expect.
Unfortunately for some very hard-working councillors they were caught up in a national political debate that they could not alter.
To all the hard working councillors that have lost their positions don’t lose heart, hold your head up – you did your best.
To all the new councillors: do the job the people want from you, work for the people. They have placed their trust in you, don’t let them down, we will be watching from the sidelines to make sure that you do.
To the people of Blaina that voted for me thank you very much, to the people that did not bother to vote: you reap what you sow. Watch this space.
