I READ of disabled waiting for help in their homes for 18 months and wonder if this has been caused by the silly actions of the Dept of Transport. They removed the criminal law which covered parking on pavements and replaced it with civil law, the result of which is vehicles are parking where they shouldn’t.
Councils are placing bollards at approximately £250 each where, if the old law had been enforced, they could have saved millions of pounds in the United Kingdom. What a waste!
This saving could have been used for more important purposes whereas it implies the disabled are a nuisance.
