A GWENT village hall was given a new lease of life thanks nearly £10,000 of funding.
Victoria Village Hall in Abersychan has undergone and extensive refurbishment thanks to £9,870 from the Coal Board Regeneration Trust.
The exterior of the building was spruced up and doors were replaced. A new cooker was also installed.
Derrick Hynam MBE, chairman of the hall committee said the hall was in regular use and added that local people were extremely grateful for the funding.
