I'm a great believer in buying second-hand cars and driving them until they no longer go, or life changes so much I need to change them. It's saved me a fortune on finance, but the downside is that I never get to choose which add-ons I'd like.
If I could, I'd pick heated seats every time. As I get older and achier, it's a great joy to have the gentle warmth on chilly days. The arrival of my youngest child meant that a swap to a more practical car was needed, but that meant saying goodbye to the bonus heated seats I loved in my old car.
That was, until I spotted that Aldi was selling Heated Car Seat Covers for £7.99, so one went into my trolley.
Impatient to try it out, I plugged it into my car's cigarette lighter on the drive home and it's not left my car since.
It heats up quickly and evenly to just the right level of warmth. With a bit of clever jiggling, I can't feel the wire that connects it to the 12V power source.
It has been both comfort and joy this Christmas - so much so that I've started searching branches of Aldi further afield for more to give to friends and family, so be quick and grab one before I buy them all.

Aldi’s Winter Journeys range
It's part of a range of car tech - there's also a new Car Play device (£34.99) for Apple and Android phones, with a 7” screen, Miracast and FM, AUX cable and USB-C cable. Apparently, it's £244 cheaper than a similar product by Sony.
Aldi’s Front and Rear Dash Cam (£19.99) is also back, with a charger and bracket for easy installation.
There's also the Windscreen Cover (£7.99) and Full Car Cover (£12.99) will help keep vehicles protected and is available in a choice of four sizes, M-XL, including small SUV.
