RYAN Mackerness has left his role as goalkeeping coach at Newport County AFC.
The former youth team gloveman had been working with the Exiles’ keepers on a part-time basis since October.
He came back to Rodney Parade last autumn having originally exited the club in May 2015.
County boss Warren Feeney said: “We are looking to combine the role of goalkeeping coach with a new reserve goalkeeper and we are making good progress in securing targets in this area, who will then become part of my backroom staff.”
The club said they would like to thank Mackerness for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future.
Meanwhile, Tuesday, July 5 has been confirmed as the date for the club’s AGM, which will take place at The Riverfront Theatre in Newport and start at 7.30pm.
