GONE: Sean McCarthy has left Newport County
NEWPORT County AFC have confirmed that Sean McCarthy has left the club following the appointment of new manager Graham Westley.
McCarthy joined the Exiles as first team coach last summer and acted as caretaker manager for two games after Warren Feeney was sacked.
Westley has brought Dino Maamria, his assistant at Stevenage and Preston North End, with him to be his number two at Rodney Parade.
Chairman of the operations board, Gavin Foxall, said: "We would like to thank Sean for his efforts during his brief time at the club and especially during his spell as caretaker manager.
"Everybody at the club wishes him all the best for the future."
