THE Dragons Premiership Select XV will have a reunion with Yorkshire Carnegie in next season's British and Irish Cup as well as facing last year's runners-up.
James Chapron's side will attempt to repeat their dramatic 22-20 victory against the Yorkshiremen in Ystrad Mynach last December, a success that came a week after they were pipped in Pontefract.
They will also go up against Jersey, who were beaten in the final by Munster A last season, and London Scottish in Pool Three.
The Dragons faced the Reds in the 2015/16 tournament, winning a thriller at Pandy Park before being downed in the Channel Islands.
The tournament will once again be predominantly for Dragons academy talent along with semi-professionals of promise from the Premiership quintet of Newport, Cross Keys, Ebbw Vale, Bedwas and Bargoed.
Last season Robson Blake impressed at number eight and the strong-running Bedwas forward has been rewarded with a one-year professional contract.
Matches will take place while the region are in European Challenge Cup action and will not clash with Premiership fixtures.
