NEWPORT County AFC manager Michael Flynn admitted he was ashamed by his side's performance as they were crushed 5-0 at Mansfield Town.
Flynn saw his side battle to a narrow 2-0 defeat to Premier League Tottenham Hotspur in last week's FA Cup fourth-round replay at Wembley.
But they were outclassed at the One Call Stadium as Alfie Potter hit a hat-trick and Danny Rose and Alex MacDonald completed the rout for the hosts.
Goalkeeper Joe Day made several superb saves to prevent an even bigger defeat.
And there was no holding back from Flynn after the final whistle.
"Six nights ago I was probably the proudest manager in the country and I'm ashamed tonight," said the Exiles boss.
"It was the first time that the players have let themselves down professionally this season, and it will be the last time."
