NEWPORT County AFC academy graduate Regan Poole has earned his first call-up to the senior Wales squad.
The 19-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, left County for Manchester United in 2015 after making his Football League debut aged just 16 the year before (below).
He spent last season on loan at Northampton Town in League One.
Poole has impressed as he's risen through the ranks from the under-17s to the under-21s and has now been named in Ryan Giggs' senior squad for the friendly against Mexico in Pasadena, California, on May 28.
Former County midfielder Lee Evans, another graduate of the Exiles academy, and Newport-born Chris Gunter are also included.
Gareth Bale and Ben Woodburn were among the names missing. Real Madrid forward Bale and Liverpool youngster Woodburn will both be involved in the Champions League final in Kiev two days earlier.
Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen is also absent with a foot injury, but skipper Ashley Williams and Aaron Ramsey are included in an enlarged 32-man squad featuring eight uncapped players.
