NEWPORT’S Aaron Collins is staying with Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers after the club opted to extend his contract by a further year.
Collins graduated from the Newport County AFC academy to the first team in 2014 and made 20 appearances for his hometown club before joining Wolves in January 2016.
After loan spells with Notts County, Tranmere Rovers and Maidstone United, the 20-year-old rejoined the Exiles on loan in January this year.
Collins made 10 appearances as Michael Flynn’s men finished 11th in League Two.
“I’m happy to be offered another year at Wolves,” said the forward, who turns 21 on Sunday.
"It’s great to be signed at Premier League club.”
