DRAGONS wing Jared Rosser will make his sevens return with Wales at Twickenham this weekend, writes Chris Kirwan.

The 20-year-old speedster from Pontypool has been selected for the London leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series along with regional teammate and full-back Will Talbot-Davies.

Full internationals Lloyd Williams and Cory Allen, of Cardiff Blues and the Ospreys respectively, have also been called up along with Jason Harries, who spent last year with Edinburgh.

Rosser developed his game on the sevens circuit before enjoying a breakthrough campaign with the Dragons in 2017/18, making 25 and scoring six tries in the final six games of the PRO14.

Talbot-Davies, 20, has been a regular for Wales this season with the last of his outings at Las Vegas in March.

Wales have been drawn with Australia, Spain and Ireland at the home of English rugby and are looking to climb from 14th in the world rankings.

"It's an exciting group with some experienced players returning to the fold," said head coach Gareth Williams. "We want to finish the last two World Series events as strongly as possible, starting in London this week.”

Wales, who finish the series in Paris on June 9 and 10, are preparing for July’s World Cup in San Francisco.
