THE Dragons' festive derby with Cardiff Blues in the capital has been moved forward a day to avoid a clash with Premier League football.
The Guinness PRO14 encounter will now be played on Friday, December 21 (kick-off 7.35pm) to avoid a direct clash with Cardiff City's home encounter with Manchester United.
The Dragons will be attempting to win their first league derby since winning at the Arms Park on Boxing Day, 2014.
That miserable streak was extended to 22 losses by the Blues at the start of this month when the men from the capital triumphed 23-15 at Rodney Parade.
Bernard Jackman's men host the Ospreys on Sunday, December 30.
Tickets already bought for the derby at the Arms Park remain valid while refunds are available by emailing ticket.office@cardiffblues.com, including the booking reference.
