NEWPORT County AFC manager Michael Flynn heaped praise on goalkeeper Joe Day after watching his side claim a point against Bury at Gigg Lane.
The hosts led through a Nicky Maynard goal midway through the first half and could have extended their lead before Jamille Matt levelled 10 minutes after the restart from an Antoine Semenyp cross.
Happy to get another goal and another point on the board against a decent team! @SerlomKofi getting me another assist π₯

Brilliant shift from boys and appreciate all the fans that travelled #amberArmy πΆβΌοΈ @NewportCounty
Day made a string of superb saves to keep it at 1-1 in an end-to-end final half hour.
"Joe Day made two saves that were of the highest quality," said Flynn.
"If that happened in the Premier League those two saves, they'd be on about it for the whole of Match of the Day.
"But that's what he's there for, that's what he's paid for and I'm glad he made them tonight because that is a very, very good point."
The Exiles remain fourth in the League Two table, a point behind third-placed Exeter City and five points away from leaders Lincoln City.
