MAJOR changes have been made up front as Newport Gwent Dragons bid to get back on track by beating Munster in tomorrow night's Magners League clash at Rodney Parade.

Senior forwards Adam Black and Peter Sidoli have both been left out while Jamie Ringer has a slight back injury and also misses the Munster game.

It is coach Paul Turner's response to a well below-par performance against Connacht last Friday when the lowest ranked Irish province won convincingly 22-7.

In their place he turns to youth in an effort to inject some fresh impetus after the Dragons also lost the previous game when Cardiff Blues won heavily at Rodney Parade.

Relatively new youngsters make their bow, both prop Huw Gustafson and back five forward Dan Lydiate drafted into the side.

Gustafson makes his debut at loose head prop after joining from Llanelli Scarlets in the summer though being a replacement in all three league games this season.

He steps in for Black, who has been an ever-present member of the team for the past two years.

At lock Andrew Hall will partner Luke Charteris in the absence of groin injury victim Adam Jones while Peter Sidoli has, like Black, been dropped.

Charteris reclaims the captaincy after it passed to Hall for the Connacht game. Lydiate is at blindside flanker in place of Ringer and plays alongside Joe Bear-man and Richard Parks.

Turner has said this week that there isn't an issue with the youngsters, "It's with the desire of our senior players. That was the one thing that carried us through last season, but has been missing in the last two games," he said.

He retains the same back division apart from at outside half where Aled Thomas has recovered from a rib injury and returns in place of Gareth McCarthy.

Team: M Thomas, G Wyatt, R Davies, A Smith, R Mustoe, A Thomas, A Williams, H Gustafson, S Jones, R Thomas, L Charteris (captain), A Hall, D Lydiate, J Bearman, D Parks. Replacements to be announced.
