NEWPORT County AFC midfielder Charlie Cooper has returned to Forest Green Rovers after both clubs agreed to cut short his loan move.
The 21-year-old arrived at Rodney Parade on a season-long loan deal from Forest Green in June.
Cooper made 15 appearances for the Exiles, the last coming at Cheltenham Town in the Checkatrade Trophy on December 4 when he was replaced by the returning Joss Labadie (below).
A joint-statement from both clubs reads: "Midfielder Charlie Cooper has returned to Forest Green Rovers following a loan spell with the Exiles.
"The 21-year-old made 15 appearances for County and will return to the New Lawn with the view of securing another loan move in the January transfer window."
