NEWPORT County AFC boss Michael Flynn has expressed his devastation at losing the services of teenage striker Antoine Semenyo.
The 19-year-old scored six goals in 22 appearances for the Exiles while on loan from Championship club Bristol City, who recalled the youngster after County’s draw with Middlesbrough.
Semenyo has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United reported to be keeping a close eye on the Londoner.
When asked for his reaction to Semenyo’s departure, Flynn said: “I’m gutted.
“It’s hard for anybody who loses someone as good as Antoine, but if it’s the best for the boy’s career then I’m delighted we’ve played a part in helping him progress as a youngster and develop as a professional footballer.”
