GAVIN Henson could make his first Guinness PRO14 appearance since the opening day of the season after being named on the Dragons’ bench for tomorrow’s clash with Edinburgh.

The former Wales and Lions playmaker has been picked as Josh Lewis’ cover for the clash at Murrayfield (kick-off 7.35pm).

Henson started at fly-half in the PRO14 loss to Benetton on September 1 but the 37-year-old was then hindered by a knee problem.

He made his return from the bench in the European Challenge Cup win against Timisoara Saracens in January and has been preferred to Edinburgh old boy Jason Tovey for the trip to Scotland.

Caretaker boss Ceri Jones makes two changes to the XV that was edged out by title-chasing Munster at Rodney Parade at the end of last month.

Number eight James Benjamin comes into the back row for the injured Nic Cudd, with Ollie Griffiths shifting to openside, while Jarryd Sage gets the nod ahead of Jack Dixon.

Taine Basham, who scored a hat-trick for Wales Under-20s in Italy on Sunday, is among the replacements.
