THE Dragons will be slugging it out with Arsenal and Manchester City for an award next month.

The Rodney Parade region’s ‘Bring Your Fire’ film has been shortlisted for an honour in the sport category of the Brand Film Festival London 2019 awards in London on May 1.

The Dragons’ effort, produced by Affixxius Films, featured captain Cory Hill, people from various walks of life around Newport and Gwent as well as cows from head coach Ceri Jones’ farm in Usk.

Martyn Bicknell, head of marketing and communications at the Dragons, said: “We were delighted with the work of Affixxius in producing the Bring Your Fire film and the response we had from supporters when it was first launched, and every time it’s been published since, has always generated real positivity.

“It’s a dedicated and impressive team at Affixxius, who have produced a powerful piece of work on a real budget, so to be shortlisted for this national award, alongside creative treatments for the likes of Manchester City, Puma, Jaguar and ICC Cricket World Cup is testament to their skills and effort.”
