EBBW Vale forward Dan Hill finished the season as the Premiership’s top ball carrier.

The lock/back row forward enjoyed a strong first season at Eugene Cross Park to help the Steelmen move to the brink of safety before the Welsh Rugby Union cancelled their leagues because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Hill, from Cardiff, arrived last summer after previously playing for Clifton, Guernsey, Bath A and Wales Students.

He led the charge for the Steelmen with 203 carries – 11 ahead of Merthyr’s Phil Rees with Cardiff’s Morgan Allen third with 178.

Ebbw back rower Lewis Young also made the leaderboard with 141 efforts and an impressive dominance percentage of 53.

RGC’s Harri Evans topped the chart for line breaks with 15 with Newport speedster Elliot Frewen the best in Gwent with eight.
