NEWPORT County AFC captain Joss Labadie is back in the mix for the Boxing Day clash with Crawley Town while striker Ryan Taylor is nearing a return.
Midfielder Labadie missed the League Two leaders’ draw at Salford City and home loss to Oldham Athletic.
However, the 30-year-old skipper is back in contention for tomorrow’s trip to Sussex.
“Joss took a knock and it has taken a while to settle down. He had a scan and it's all clear, which is great news, but it's just making sure he's comfortable,” said manager Michael Flynn.
The boss also said that Taylor is “very close” to a return after three months out with a hamstring injury.
The Exiles have performed strongly but have missed the summer signing’s physical presence up front.
Flynn will also hope that the 32-year-old, who helped Plymouth to promotion last season, can help provide a cutting edge.
