NEWPORT County AFC’s League Two clash against Walsall has been pushed back to Wednesday (kick-off 5.30pm).
The Exiles were meant to be heading to the Bescot Stadium on Tuesday but the Saddlers have agreed to play the fixture just under 24 hours later.
That is because County’s clash with promotion rivals Forest Green Rovers is now taking place on Sunday (kick-off 1pm) rather than Saturday because of a combination of the Dragons’ Guinness PRO14 encounter with Leinster on Friday and a poor weather forecast.
The Exiles have already had four postponements this season – Exeter, Southend and Carlisle in Newport and the trip to Port Vale – and have little room for manoeuvre in the hectic fixture list.
Michael Flynn’s side have 19 games left to play in the 11 weeks leading up to their finale against Southend at Roots Hall.
