THE Scarlets have confirmed that hooker Taylor Davies will be a member of their first team squad next season after a pair of loan spells at the Dragons.

The 26-year-old headed to Rodney Parade at the end of last season and featured four times for Dean Ryan’s men.

Davies returned to the Dragons this season and has been a key figure, featuring 17 times at the heart of the front row.

The hooker scored a crucial try against his parent club in the United Rugby Championship upset at Parc y Scarlets last month but will return to Llanelli next season to put the heat on Wales hooker Ryan Elias.

Davies said after the win out west that he had got exactly what he wanted from his spells at the Dragons.

“I have really enjoyed my season. I feel like I am one of the boys, they are a great set of lads and we work really hard,” he said.

"I am really grateful to the Dragons, I am putting in the work and have been fortunate to get the game time that I wanted.

"At this level you improve by playing. There is only so much that you can do in training, you have to be in the position of getting on the field.

"Every game you get something different, you learn from other people and how the opposition play."
