UKRAINE will head to Cardiff on Sunday to face Wales for a spot at the World Cup after winning in Scotland.
The visitors triumphed 3-1 in the semi-final at Hampden Park thanks to a classy performance, and spirit when under pressure in the closing stages.
Ukraine led 1-0 at the break thanks to Andriy Yarmolenkoβs fine finish before Roman Yaremchuk headed them 2-0 up.
Callum McGregor exploited poor goalkeeping to give the Scots hope of forcing the tie into extra time but Artem Dovbyk slotted with the final kick after being set up by the inspirational Manchester City midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Ukraine now head to Wales, who beat Austria earlier this year, for a spot at Qatar 2022 in a group with England, USA and Iran.
