NEWPORT County AFC face a crucial game in front of their own fans when they welcome Carlisle to Rodney Parade on Saturday.
The Exiles have lost three League Two games on the spin to leave many fans looking nervously towards the bottom of the table.
It’s early days in the 2021/22 but the pressure is mounting on manager James Rowberry after his side finished last season with five home losses on the spin, then picked up where they left off.
Here is the approach that some fans want for the clash with the Cumbrians…
To repeat what I said on the @1912Exiles pod, we need to:
— Ed Bridges (@DrEdBridges) September 22, 2022
- Pick an experienced XI
- Get the crowd onside early on
- Focus on keeping a clean sheet
- S***house our way to a result
If we lose, Rowberry’s in real trouble and we might undo lots of good progress.#ncafc 🧡🖤 https://t.co/O8LTyNkqGu
stop playing out from the back for a start it isn’t working teams have found that out now!

when going forward on attack stop playing it back to the keeper that’s what gets the fans backs up big time
pick the best 11 and go back to playing players in the correct positions
The correct team selection!!!!!

More shots from further out and driving at the goal rather than constantly spreading it wide then passing back when they can’t get a cross in

Park the bus for the rest of the season😂

A win , it will be a disaster to go back to the national League.
