NEWPORT County AFC could be boosted by the return of attacking midfielder Aaron Wildig on the bench for their key clash with Carlisle in League Two tomorrow.
The 30-year-old has been absent for the Exiles’ four-game losing streak since suffering a groin injury in the 2-1 EFL Trophy win at Exeter.
The experienced midfielder, who was starting to settle after his summer move from Morecambe, has returned to training and might be an option as a substitute for the Rodney Parade clash with the Cumbrians.
However, County could be without captain Matty Dolan after he suffered an ankle injury in the 2-1 loss to Forest Green Rovers in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, when he lined up as left-sided centre-back.
Central defender Priestley Farquharson, who returned this season after a serious knee injury, is also a doubt after not training fully this week.
Offrande Zanzala has been out since the Carabao Cup upset against Luton on August 9 because of a hamstring injury with the rapid striker expected to return in mid-October.
