YORKSHIRE has been hit by snow but there are no problems at Rodney Parade for Newport County AFC’s League Two clash with Bradford City.

The Exiles will return to home soil for the fixture against the promotion-chasing Bantams after an away defeat at Salford and draw at Grimsby.

The Parade pitch was covered by snow on Wednesday but is now clear ahead of a game that could attract a bumper crowd with Bradford having sold out their covered section.

The away fans might have some travel issues given the weather in the north of England but Mark Hughes’ squad are travelling on Friday and staying in Newport.

Conditions could be heavy given the midweek snow and rain, with another downpour forecast for tomorrow afternoon.

Graham Coughlan's side have a pair of quickfire home games with Bradford followed by AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.

The meeting with the Dons is followed by Tranmere away and then Harrogate at home as County look to stretch further away from the relegation scrap.

The Exiles have a healthy lead over the trio of Rochdale, Crawley and Hartlepool and should secure their League Two status well before the run-in.

Saturday fixtures: Barrow v Sutton, Colchester v Stockport, Crawley v Harrogate, Doncaster v AFC Wimbledon, Gillingham v Tranmere, Grimsby v Rochdale, Hartlepool v Northampton, Mansfield v Leyton Orient, County v Bradford, Stevenage v Walsall, Swindon v Carlisle.
