PLAYMAKER Matt O'Brien will bring up a double-century for Newport in the Premiership final against Llandovery at Church Bank.

The fly-half will pull the strings when the Black and Ambers attempt to make it 16 straight wins to lift their first title since 2004 tomorrow (kick-off 2.40pm).

O'Brien, who is second on the club's all-time points list with 1,324 behind Dan Griffiths (1,551), made his debut against Llanelli in September, 2013.

The left-footer will be a key figure at Church Bank as he attempts to complete a perfect Premiership campaign.

The 31-year-old, who combines playing with his role as Dragons backs coach, has made 21 appearances and the only loss that he has suffered was at Cardiff in the Premiership Cup.

Newport make one change to the XV from the 48-13 hammering of Ebbw Vale with Josh Reynolds starting at loosehead in place of the absent Thomas Davies, with Tom Workman coming onto the bench.

Lock Elliot Ferriman and fit-again centre/wing Jon Morris also come into the matchday squad.

Llandovery feature former Dragons favourite Adam Warren in midfield with his brother Aaron and dangerman Macs Page on the wings.

Ed Scragg, formerly of the Dragons academy, is in the pack along with tighthead Berian Watkins, who shares a special occasion with O'Brien when making his 200th Drovers outing.

Newport will need to keep an eye out for hooker Taylor Davies, who had two spells on loan at the Dragons from the Scarlets.

He has a remarkable strike rate of 21 tries in 20 games this season and is battling Black and Ambers winger Lloyd Lewis to be top scorer in the Premiership.
