TRETHOMAS Bluebirds’ Mark Dunford has been named as Cymru South manager of the month after an unbeaten August.
Dunford was nominated along with Trefelin’s Andy Hill and Sam Houldsworth of Newport City and won after a fans’ vote was combined with a league and independent voting panel.
The Ardal South East champions made an impressive start to the campaign, taking 14 points from their first six fixtures.
They beat Llantwit Major, Penrhiwceiber Rangers, Ammanford and Taffs Well and only late equalisers denied them more victories against Trefelin and Caerau Ely.
The Bluebirds did, however, suffer a first loss against Llanelli a week ago and will attempt to get back to winning ways when they make the short trip to Treforest to face Pontypridd United this afternoon.
Newport City, who are level on points with leaders Trethomas and second-placed Cambrian United, head west to face Carmarthen while Cwmbran Celtic host Goytre United.
Meanwhile, the player of the month award went to Ponty’s Liam Eason, who scored eight goals to get off to a flying start at his new club after a summer switch from Cambrian.
Trethomas' Ethan Edwards was also shortlisted for the award along with Goytre's Keane Watts and Carmarthen's Noah Daley.
