NEWPORT RFC's Syper Rygbi Cymru clash at Aberavon was abandoned at half-time because of flooding at the Talbot Athletic Ground.
The Black and Ambers were looking to make it three wins from three but the game only made it to half-time, when the visitors were leading 3-0 courtesy of a Carwyn Penny penalty.
Torrential rain meant that there were large pools of water on the pitch and the decision was made to try again later in the season.
Referee Matthew Leon called an early end to the first half when there were 38 minutes on the clock and immediately ran to inspect the problem areas, with one large puddle on the 22 to the east of the pitch.

It was an easy decision for the officials after a half of rugby that was shaped by the horrendous conditions.
Aberavon had the better of the first '40' but the Black and Ambers led courtesy of a penalty by fly-half Penny on the half hour.
The Wizards had plenty of pressure in the 22 and came close to scoring when an early penalty by Ed Dunford struck the right post and almost fell kindly for centre Brad Roderick, but he couldn’t gather the slippery ball.
The two teams will lock horns at Spytty Park a week on Saturday, when they will hope for dry conditions.
