However, it seems Fury has now changed his mind, posting a video on Instagram on Monday (January 13) announcing his retirement from boxing.
In the cryptic video message he said: “Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet.
“I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast. I’ve loved every single minute of it and I’m going to end with this: ‘Dick Turpin wore a mask’.
“God bless everybody, see you on the other side.”
Has Tyson Fury retired before?
This is the third time Fury has announced his intentions to retire from the sport.
Fury first announced he was retiring from boxing back in 2013, according to The Mirror.

He then quit the sport again in 2022 after he retained his WBC belt by stopping Dillian Whyte at Wembley.
The ‘Gypsy King’, at the time, said: “I’ve been in this game 20 years, I’m 34 in a few months.
“I said the third (Deontay) Wilder fight would be my last, but I felt I owed the fans one last homecoming. This is definitely the end of the Gypsy King and I went out with a bang.”
