CHEPSTOW Boxing Club member Karrell Islam is on a roll, adding another win, this time by unanimous decision.
With head coach Steve Woods unable to go to the tournament due to family commitments, his assistant coach Ryan Vaughan took Karrell to the venue at the Nixons club, Mountain Ash where he boxed Tristan Stephens of Hope and Glory BC.
“Ryan phoned me today to tell me Karrell put in a fantastic performance, the best he’s seen him box,” Woods said later.
“Karrell was following instructions from the corner very well indeed and it all paid off. “Ryan was over the moon with Karrell’s win as I am.”
“His next bout will be the National Association of Boys & Girls Clubs (NABGC) GB quarter finals being held at Caldicot Leisure Centre on 9th November.”
