CHEPSTOW boxer Terry Mullane lost by a split decision at the National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs at Caldicot Leisure Centre on Sunday.

Head coach Steve Woods said: “Terry boxed Jackson Myers of Didcot BC.

“I thought the first round was close with Myers just edging it.

“Round two was also close with Terry edging the round and I thought he clearly won the last round but not all the judges agreed awarding Myers the win by a three-two split.

“Next weekend we have Karrell islam and Patrick Mullane in the semi finals being held in Taunton.”
