Usk Town are still waiting for their first win in the Autocentre Gwent Premier League Second Division following a 6-2 defeat inflicted by hosts Crickhowell at The Elvicta.
The visitors enjoyed the better of the goal-scoring chances in the opening stages.
But it was Crick who broke the deadlock when Richard Hansford headed home at the near post from a 19th-minute Alun Jones corner.
The hosts doubled their advantage six minutes later when it was the turn of Lloyd Morgan to find the back of the net from another corner delivered by Luc Samuel.
The Breconshire outfit extended their lead when Michael Ling ran on to a well-timed deep through ball from Jones before rounding the advancing James Noon in the Usk Town goal and turning the ball into an empty net.
The Jackdaws added a fourth goal to their tally eight minutes prior to the interval when Eddie Watkins' 25-yard free-kick beat the defensive wall and nestled inside Noon's near post.
Crickhowell went nap 12 minutes after the interval when Samuel was played in on goal by Omar Bojang and finished past Noon from close range.
Usk Town pulled a goal back in the 77th minute when Oliver Rudall converted a penalty awarded by referee Lee Smith after Louid Quinton had been brought down whilst attempting to get a shot in on goal.
However, the hosts regained their five-goal advantage within two minutes of the restart after Jones successfully converted a penalty given at the opposite end of the pitch.
The scoring was completed in the 90th minute when Gene Gurie struck a dipping volley over the head of Crickhowell custodian Alex Hoseley that brought back memories of Marco van Basten's strike against the USSR in the Euro 88 final at Munich's Olympic Stadium.
Usk Town turn their attention to the County Motors Cup second round on Tuesday night when they head to Premier Division club Clydach Wasps prior to heading south to Thornwell Red and White in league action on Saturday afternoon.
