NEWPORT County forward Giuseppe Sole has agreed to join Blue Square South outfit Dorchester Town on a three-month loan.
The Magpies’ boss, and former County favourite, Ashley Vickers had been on the trail of the out-of-favour wideman for the last two weeks.
The move has yet to be confirmed by Exiles boss Dean Holdsworth but Vickers said: “We’ve got him for three months and he can also play in the FA Cup for us. We’re only paying part of his wages and Dean has done us a huge favour, which I won’t forget and one day hope to repay.
“Giuseppe will be a great acquisition, he’s made a commitment to train with us as well, and I’m really excited about welcoming him to the club.
“We’ve been creating a lot of chances but not taking them, so hopefully Giuseppe will help with that.
“Goalscoring is obviously a huge part of the game and goalscorers are often the difference between teams at the top of the table and those at the bottom.
“Bringing him in is a big bonus and if he starts ticking it can rub off on everyone else.
“I’m really pleased to get him, let’s hope it’s a fruitful move for both Giuseppe and the club.”
