THE Dragons were simply outclassed by the Heineken Cup champions in front of a disappointing crowd of 6,401 at Rodney Parade tonight.
The French giants scored three tries - all coming in the second half - through skipper Thierry Dusautoir, Maxime Medard and Louis Picamoles.
Paul Turner’s men battled valiantly but were no match for the star-studded visitors.
The ever dangerous Will Harries scored the only Dragons try after 70 minutes and outside-half Matthew Jones - a late replacement for the injured Ashley Smith - kicked 14 points.
Toulouse didn’t have it all their way in the first half and the score was just 18-12 at the interval.
But there was no stopping them in the second half.
The scrum continues to be a problem for the Dragons and they gave away a stream of free-kicks.
Dusautoir’s men will probably rue the fact they didn’t make it a bonus point win.
For the Dragons it is another disappointing defeat with much to ponder before next week’s home game against Aironi.
